How to set prices for kids accommodation

To set prices for kids accommodation, follow the 3 steps below.

1. Set age ranges

Go to “Hotel management” > “Main settings”. Scroll down to “Children: age ranges” section.

Click on “Add range” and create a number of ranges between 0 and 18 y.o . Pay attention, that the upper limit of the range is not included in it.

For example, the range 0-4 y.o. stands for 1, 2, 3 year old children. To accommodate 4 year-olds, create another range.

Here we created 3 age ranges. In this case, children over 15 years will be charged as adults.

2. Create kids accommodation for room types

Mark what age ranges you can accommodate in each room type. Go to “Room management” > “Room types” Click on a room category. Scroll to “Guests” section and mark age ranges of children that can have a bed, be provided with an extra bed or no bed at all.

Let’s consider an example of a triple room.

There are 3 beds, so you can accommodate 1, 2 or 3 adults. If a minor of 4-10 y.o or 10-15 y.o. can have one of them, tick the corresponding boxes in “Children stay as main guests” section.

In case you provide extra beds, tick boxes for the kinds of guests you can provide them for. It can be an adult or a child of 4-10 y.o/ 10-15 y.o.

If do not require booking extra beds for toddlers/minors, tick the age range of children that do not need an extra bed in “Children without extra bed” section. In this example, these are children under 4 y.o.

N.B. This is just the beds offered. Next set the prices for rates.

3. Set the prices

Go to “Room management” > “Rates”. Click on a rate and open the “Prices and restriction” tab. Select the time period in the calendar with the mouse. Click on “Change value” on the right. Then in the lightbox, write in the prices and click on “Save”.

In the example above, we set the following:

Price for basic beds:

• 44€ — price for a single accommodation in a triple room (1 guest)

• 55€ — price for a double accommodation in a triple room (2 guests)

• 67€ — price for a triple room, if there are 3 guests (3 guests)

• 49€ — price for a triple room, if there is 1 adult (44€) and 1 child of 4-10 y.o. (5€)

• 60€ — price for a triple room, if there are 2 adults (55€) and 1 child of 4-10 y.o. (5€)

• 54€ — price for a triple room, if there is 1 adult (44€) and 2 children of 4-10 y.o. (5€+5€)

• 51€ — price for a triple room, if there is 1 adult (44€) and 1 child of 10-15 y.o. (7€)

• 62€ — price for a triple room, if there are 2 adults (55€) and 1 child of 10-15 y.o. (7€)

• 58€ — price for a triple room, if there is 1 adult (44€) and 2 children of 10-15 y.o. (7€+7€)

• 56€ — price for a triple room, if there is 1 adult (44€), a child of 4-10 y.o. (5€) and a child of 10-15 y.o. (7€)

Price for extra beds:

In case, you can provide an extra bed in a triple room, its price will be added to the price of the room.

• 16€ — price of an extra bed for an adult

• 13€ — price of an extra bed for a child of 4-10 y.o.

• 13€ — price of an extra bed for a child of 10-15 y.o.

• 83€ — price for a triple room, if there are 3 adult guests (67€) and an extra bed for another adult (16 €)

• 80€ — price for a triple room, if there are 3 adult guests (67€) and an extra bed for a child of 4-10 y.o.(13€)

• 80€ — price for a triple room, if there are 3 adult guests (67€) and an extra bed for a child of 10-15 y.o.(13€)

Price for kids accommodation without an extra bed:

If you do not charge, when an extra bed is not provided, write “0” in the corresponding box. This means that a child under 4 y.o. shares a bed with an adult.

If you do not fill in this box, this type of accommodation will not be offered in the booking engine on your website.
