How to make main settings for the booking update (push type of update)

Set booking profiles in the TravelLine Extranet so that bookings from different points of sale are updated in your PMS correctly.

Things you need to set:

  • Agents profiles/Companies profile; Source codes/ Reservation channel codes

  • Guarantee types

  • Channel/WebRes

How to set Agents profiles/Companies profiles; Source codes/ Reservation channel codes

1. Go to “PMS Integration” > “PMS Inventory”. Then, click on the “Edit” button on the right from any of the settings above.

2. Click on the “Add element” button. Fill in the fields in the window open. Then, click on the “Save” button. The “Name in PMS” does not have to be filled in.

3. When you are done with all the four profiles, go to “PMS Inventory” > “Bookings delivery”. There, select “Contractors”.

Inside this section, there are two types of settings:

  • Settings for reservations made in TravelLine Booking Engine

  • Settings for bookings made through TravelLine Channel Manager

You can set rules for all the bookings made on the hotel website or make specific settings for different rate plans and room types. To make default settings, select “Official website ” and choose a value from each of the four drop-down lists. From now on, all the bookings made on the website will be confirmed in your PMS with these profile settings.

You can set the “Overriding rules” if you want to make exceptions for a specific rate plan, room type, extra service, and so on. To do this, scroll to the “Overriding rules” settings, then, click on the “Overriding rule” button and tick the values you need. Then, make settings by clicking on the “+Add rule” button.

When you made all the settings, click on the “Save” button at the top or at bottom of the page.

If you use Channel Manager, make the settings for the bookings made through Channel Manager as well.

How to set Guarantee types

1. Go to “PMS Integration” > “PMS Inventory”. Then, click on the “Edit” button on the right from the “Guarantee types” setting.

2. Click on the “Add element” and enter the PMS code. The “Name in PMS” field is not required and can be left blank. Click on the “Save” button.

3. Go to “PMS Integration” > “Booking delivery”. There, select “Payment codes”. For every payment method in Booking Engine and Channel Manager, select a guarantee type.

If you need to make an exception to the default rule, add an overriding rule.

How to set Channel/WebRes

  1. Go to “PMS Integration” > “PMS Inventory”. Then, click on the “Edit” button on the right from the “Channel” setting.

  2. Click on the “Add element” and enter the PMS code. The “Name in PMS” field is not required and can be left blank. Click on the “Save” button.

  3. Go to “PMS Integration” > “Booking delivery”. There, select “Channel/WebRes”.

Make the “Channel/WebRes” settings that will be selected automatically for all the bookings made on the hotel website. If necessary, add overriding rules for room types and rate plans.

If you use Channel Manager, make the “Channel/WebRes” settings for bookings made on online distribution channels.
